CFMEU steps up to support the Big Steps campaign

Published: 8 Mar 2018

This international women's day the CFMEU is proud to "step up" as a male dominated union to support childcare workers and United Voice members in their fight for professional pay. Thier work is currently undervalued by their employers and the community.

If 90% of our brains are formed in the first four years, why are early childhood educators paid only half the average national wage?

Over the last five years they have doorknocked, rallied, spoken to the community and lobbied politicians but they are still waiting for fair pay. On March 27, early childhood educators all over the country are taking part in the biggest walk-off in the sector’s history!

Please support then by attending the Big Steps rally in your state and, if you’re a parent, registering your support on bigwalkoff.com.au
