Construction
& General
We’re proud to be part of Australia’s leading union in the construction, forestry, maritime, mining, energy, textile, clothing, and footwear industries. The CFMEU has a strong presence with offices in all capital cities across the country and in many major regional centres. We’re key players on the national stage, but we never lose sight of our local commitment to ensure that every union member in New South Wales gets a fair go.
Our mission is clear: to protect lives by enforcing rigorous health and safety standards in this high-risk industry and to improve workers’ lives by fighting for fair wages and conditions. At the CFMEU, we believe in unity and solidarity. We stand for all Australians, from every walk of life, coming together to build a powerful union. We’re always striving for a safe and just trade landscape for everyone in this great nation.
CBUS Super
Cbus Super is the industry super fund for more than 910,000 workers who help shape Australia, no matter what their industry. Created in 1984 by workers for workers, we manage around $90 billion in members’ funds* making us one of the largest super funds in Australia.
Despite our size, we haven’t forgotten where we came from and why we’re here. We are a proud industry super fund, representing hard-working Australians.
Understanding the real risk of serious injury to workers in building, construction and other allied industries is what sets us apart. That’s why we offer affordable default insurance options designed for your industry and provide cover for jobs that other funds may not.
We have dedicated coordinators available to visit your workplace to provide information and general advice on super. Depending on your workplace preference, you could have a group information session or have individual questions/issues answered onsite. This onsite service is available to Cbus Super members at no cost.
If you have any questions, we can help.
